BGMs & Instrumentals

Last day was listening to some of the splendid background scores of various music composers like Ilayaraaja, ARR, Vidyasagar and even Yanni’s Instrumental

Ilayaraaja BGM: Thevarmagan, Thalapathi, Guna, Mounaraagam, Heyram, Netrikkan, Anajali Title and many more, there were Instrumental albums created by Ilayaraaja like How to name it, nothing but wind and messiah. All these were the classical collections of the Indian Maestro.

A R Rahman: All his tunes has the best sound engineering which none of the Indian composers has, his compositions were with the film or the opening music of a song like poo pookkum osai (opening piano) from Minsara Kanavu, Kamal Haasan & Manisha Koirala Love theme from Indian and many more

Vidayasagar: His music has more of classical touches were he has more imitation of Ilayaraaja, some of his few milestones are Anbe Sivam, also includes his Malayalam compositions,

Yanni: Greek composer and a self learned pianist. Adagio in C Minor, Deliverance, Nightingale, In the mirror, One man’s dream, Love is all are his major contributions to the music industry and has a massive orchestration technique which I have ever seen.

Endhiran

What so big in this movie? Yes it’s gonna be our Superstar Rajni’s everlasting movie, with 220 crores (Indian Rupee) ever made Indian cinema, the most expensive. The film’s Cast & Crew includes

Editing: Anthony Gonsalves

Dual Costume Designers: Manish Malhotra & Mary E. Vogt

Visual Effects: Industrial Light Magic (ILM)

International Distributor: HBO Films

The film has got 7 sound tracks. The film was shot in various in and around Chennai, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, SSN College, VIT, Brazil, Peru, Vienna, Austria, Vietnam etc.

I watched the trailor that was mind blowing, again a mass and an incredible presentation to the world cinema by Shankar. But the songs are not up to the mark, as usual ARR songs gets sweeter by listening continuously four or five times, but in Endhiran we have a slight disappointment wherein the song for SPB was not up to the mark and the Yogi B song also has not got the pep. Among the tracks 2 melodies catches the ARR style of music, with loads of technologies added up.

Even I’m awaiting the Endhiran day

Ramadan in the Middle East

To be honest, I would say it as a crucial time which gonna start. 30 days of fasting will be starting from 10th or 11th of August. Generally the fasting starts and ends based on the instructions from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Mecca).

During Ramadan: We will not be allowed to taste even a pinch of water in the public (after sunrise and before sunset), infringing the rule leads to imprisonment or will be deported to the home country. Also during this time the restaurants, food courts will be kept open, but only take away......... we have a tent built in front of every mosques for the public to have their dinner after prayer during the fasting. (The tent is common for all; irrespective of the caste). The dinner will be provided with camel meat, beef, chicken, egg, fruits, dates and Laban (namma ooru moru)

Some Arabic words

To wish: Al salaam a' Laykum

Reply: Waalaykum al salaam

Masha Allah: Literally means 'Whatever Allah (God) wills'. It is often used in occasions where there is surprise in someone’s' good deeds or achievements

Insha Allah: If it is God’s will

Apache Indian

when I was perusing you tube, happen to watch one of his interview on “Q” station (Canadian radio)

Apache Indian is the stage name of the reggae dee jay/toaster, Steven Kapur (born 11 May 1967, Handsworth, Birmingham). Bhangramuffin & Reggae singer

Bhangramuffin (combination of Bhangra & Dancehall)

Dance hall is a genre of Jamaican popular music

Reggae - Reggae is a music genre first developed in Jamaica in the late 1960s

Popularly known in tamil movie “LOVE BIRDS” with Prabhu Deva – No problem song

First album – Arranged marriage is a typical bhangra type with rap style, but I got more attracted to his most popular song “OM NUMAH SHIVAYA”. The song has been composed with more spiritual taste which makes you oscillate.

“Selecting the right person for the right job – HR mantra”

In modern days we have been forced to act as professionals, first reason would be for the money and the second reason for our own career development.

Career........hmmm...it has become a big question mark now......being a recruiter I was so happy to see myself that I am representing my organization as well as my clients. Later stage I realised that it was not only me but also there are many people who does the same work irrespective of their graduation.

This is something which I abhor being a HR, so there is no disparity of career and job, both are in par. only in certain industries like oil and gas, shipping etc, it is exceptional .

Nowadays the working culture and the corporate have become more translucent, wherein anybody can get into any job as they desire to be.

Qatar Attestation

Couple of day’s back I went to the Indian Embassy – Doha, Qatar to get my M.B.A certificate attested and last at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Qatar. Such a simple process and it’s a matter of getting a authorised seal. When I got into the Indian Embassy it’s a typical Indian culture that nobody responds the security. To be honest it’s not so easy to work in an embassy especially out the country. In particular the other nationalities has no right to get into the counters without prior appointment, but the situation was so horrible and finally the security got fed up with the crowd and started banging on his head.

The system goes like this, once we enter will have to get the application for the work to be done, with the token. Based on the token will receive a call or the number will get displayed at the LCDs available at each counter. I got into the attestation counter and gave all my necessary documents for the Indian embassy attestation. There were other counters for Visa, passport, labours and death certificate. Once the documents are submitted I was charged Qatari Rial 38 (approx 500 Indian rupees) in the next counter, post to this by afternoon again I visited Indian Embassy to receive my attested certificate.

The system & the crowd maintenance were vice versa at the Ministry of foreign affairs when compared to the Indian Embassy, really ashamed to see Indians fighting at a government office, were there was a pin drop silence at the Qatar Ministry.

The very next day I went to the Ministry of Affairs for Qatar attestation. I was shocked to see the crowd by early morning 7, my token number was 71, later the crowd was split and we submitted our certificates as a bunch with our ATM card (Any Government related payments in Qatar is only through debit card, the ministry never accepts cash payment). I was charged Qatari Rial 20 (approx 250 Indian rupees) wherein I got my attested certificate within 15 minutes. Now I got the attestation of UAE Embassy & Qatar Embassy on my M.B.A certificate.

Today I have submitted my relevant documents for my Residence Permit stamping for Qatar; hopefully I should be getting it with 2 weeks, in between this process will have go for my medical test and finger printing before my business expires on august 8th.

Time - Try it out

• What happened to the time?

• It has become a fashion saying “I HAVE NO TIME”

• This is only for an unorganised individual

• In an office environment if an employee work more than the given hours, never assume they are workaholic, it means that they have not planned their work within the given time or within office hours

• Why are we in search of time?

• As if time was in search of human being.

• Just to share my experience, may be funny, but im sure will make you think.

• Here you go

• We normally have the habit of keeping our watch so fast eg. 10 or 15 minutes faster than the actual time

• This is totally nonsense , yes, it makes you so lazy than ever

• We just look at the time and feel compromised / will have the mindset that it is faster than the actual timing

• Have you ever tested, having your time slower than your actual time? (10 – 15 minutes slow)

• Im damn sure that the answer is always “NO”

• Try doing this, I can guarantee you that it makes you as fast as ever

Republic day @ Chennai Queensland

26.01.2010 remarkable day with my family members enjoyed at Queensland , we started by 11 am with the rides. We were able to cover only 8 rides the whole day coz we got the kids with us, also they need to enjoy. The charges for the rides can be paid in the entrance as entry fee which costs Rs.350/- for adults & Rs.250/- for kids and that too we had a special discount coupon (paper cutting). The food was quite decent and the cost was also affordable. Finally the last ride has made my day so happy and was so amazing and thrilling, the speciality is that they offer you cool drinks before they start the ride, inititally I doubt about the drinks offering later I realized that for more twisting rides yes, we need something to be taken. We were also interviewed by the Vasath TV for "Neengal Ketta Paadal", hehehehe first time in my life infront of a TV camera, so artificial to act infront of the camera.

A R Rahman's Concert in chennai - 2009 by Swarnaboomi foundation

First of all I would like to thank my friend "Iliyas "for getting the concert ticket for us.Jaiho concert was conducted by the MARG properties in chennai SWARNABOOMI 80kms away from the chennai city on ECR after mahabalipuram (11.10.2009). The concert was filled with a huge expectation, the dissappoinment started from ARR's arrival. The concert was about to start by 6pm but ARR reached the spot by 7:30pm followed by the song he started with "Khalbali" and the stage was dominated by the North Indian Singers and from the Southern part only Hariharan & Chithra were performed also that was not upto the mark. The worst seating arrangement ever seen for such a huge performance and followed by the worst soundengineers never expected (speakers with less watts) for the concert, during "Rehna tu" song the mike got cut for ARR twice. The song was played again and again and especially the concert was totally performed only with karaoke. Also there was a unexpected performance by "Sivamani" he perfomed only for 7 or 10 minutes. Later by one of the audience in the magazine he had expressed his dissappoinment saying that " he had purchased his ticket for Rs.15000 it seems and he was searching for his seat for more than an hour, such a worst arrangement by the sponsorers. A crowd of 65000 people got compromised at the last were ARR sung "Jaiho &  Musthafa"

Please do not waste food

Just thought of sharing, It was something which affected me a lot and I experienced that how much we waste food on a daily basis very recently, actually this is too late but so what what next I still beleive in that, please "love food hate waste". There are people who seek for a piece of bread, dont go for a well known orphanages or old age, approach an unknown non profit organizations who are really in want of our timely help. Even now countries like vietnam, thailand, africa, philippines take the waste foodfrom restaurants, fast foods etc.

Please do watch this video:

Expect the unexpected

The first appearance of the quote is by Heraclitus (c.535 BC - 475 BC): "If you do not expect the unexpected, you will not find it; for it is hard to be sought out, and difficult".

Oscar Wilde famously re-quoted it as: "To expect the unexpected shows a thoroughly modern intellect" ("An Ideal Husband").

The above quotes are certainly true, when it comes to life the unexpected incidents can never be borne by us. As a human being we all expect things to happen so easily and immediately as our life has become so mechanical. Life itself is a mystery and there are many hurdles that we will have to come across, at this point of time we are pleased to hear some advice and suggestion. Sudden deflation, unsuccessful situations and etc. makes us feel that we are lost.

BRAIN

Im not gonna tell you more technical terms about our human brain, it is just to know how the brain functions with the mind and how it is correlated. Understanding the relationship between the brain and the mind is a challenging problem both philosophically and scientifically. Our human brain further differentiated as LEFT & RIGHT brain, the difference is between human being characters and their behavoiours, their dislikes and likes and so on. The differentiation doent mean that the partition of the brain it totally means the characteristic feature of our brain.

Left Brain people:

  1. Mathematical or very calculative
  2. Less art sense
  3. Less music listeners
  4. Bold minded or Initiative
  5. Stubborn
Right Brain people:
  1. Weak in mathematics
  2. Not so calculative
  3. Music lovers or more of art sense
  4. Non Initiators
  5. Floating mind

MIND

Mind (pronounced as “maind”) is the aspect of intellect and consciousness  experienced as combinations of thought, perception, memory, emotion, will and imagination, including all unconscious cognitive processes. The term is often used to refer, by implication, to the thought processes of reason. Theories of mind and its function are numerous. Earliest recorded speculations are from the likes of Zoroaster, the Buddha, Plato, Aristotle, Adi Shankara and other ancient Greek, Indian and, later, Islamic philosophers. Pre-scientific theories grounded in theology concentrated on the supposed relationship between the mind and the soul, our supernatural, divine or god-given essence.
Does both looks similar? the answer is "NO", the Mind acts with the mental stage of a human being. Eg: we have totally seven chakras in our "SARIRAM" means human body. There are totally 7chakras in our organic structure, that is why we among the human beings we got seperated as saints, normal human being and so on.
The 7 chakras are as follows:

1.      Muladhara (the floor chakra)
2.      Swadhishtana (the sacrel chakra)
3.      Manipura (the solar plexus chakra)
4.      Anahata (the heart chakra)
5.      Vishnuddha (the throat chakra)
6.      Ajna (the third eye chakra)
7.      Sahasrara (the crown chakra)

Among all the above chakras, listening to music also plays a vital role in reaching these chakras, its not only just listening to music but realising the feel of music that takes you to the second chakra (eg: the musicians). The self realization comes only when our mind  touches the last chakra (7th chakra) and was applicable for great saints like shirdi baba, sri aurobindo, ramana maharishi, aadhi shankarar and other saints. They had reached the last stage of self realization during their early stages.

GOD & LIFE

Why we trust on GOD, Its all b'coz of fear and the confidence that we dont have on ourselves. The self realization comes only when we trust on our own, since we are born human being we will have to depend on some extraordinary object/power which we are scared of and thats how GOD was created. Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. Does God keeps his promise? and will not allow us to be tested beyond your power to remain firm? At the time you are put to the test, does GOD gives you the strength to endure it? and so provide you with a way out? If given an opportunity to meet GOD I would like to have a controversy with him. I would question him that Where am I ? & Who am I ? Hope I will get the expected answer from him. Human being has the empty stage when we are in deep sleep, please do not mistake that its the mediatation stage that we are enlightened, the normal sleep that we have on a daily basis has loads of dream and so on, but now only the deep sleep has the empty state of our mind.
